Intergenerational Leadership Development Specialist

Join the Movement Innovation Collaborative team as an Intergenerational Leadership Development Specialist, where you will play a key role in deepening the power, coordination, and impact of the sector. This is a unique opportunity to create a shared definition and approach to cultivating dialogue between young people and long-time organizers, strengthen leadership pipelines, and develop an intentional strategy to support and retain current and future leaders within our movements.
About the Role:The ILD Program Strategy Director will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project scope for an iterative landscape scan from consultant RFP to recommendations review with key MIC stakeholders, and sense-making to final deliverables.
- In partnership with MIC leadership and other key stakeholders, develop and implement a strategic plan to strengthen the infrastructure needed to coordinate, train, and develop thousands of youth and adult leaders in the power building ecosystem.
- Define and prioritize goals and outcomes into actionable workplans to meet the overall objectives of the strategic plan.
- Cultivate networks and deepen relationships with practitioners, subject-matter experts, researchers, and capacity builders.
- Work in close collaboration with other MIC leadership to ensure alignment, cross-fertilization, and shared programming across all program strategies.
- In collaboration with Learning and Impact Director, oversee knowledge capture and dissemination related to ILD.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional who possesses a strong alignment with the MIC's mission, values, and culture. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in leveraging lived experience to drive meaningful results and change, a track record of building relationships with progressive organizational leaders, and expertise in community organizing and program development, with at least three-five years of experience in coalition and base-building.
The successful candidate will have a combination of related training and work experience for minimum of seven to ten years, a leadership style that is action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, community-centered, and brings an innovative approach to addressing challenges. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitation, training, and consultation skills, and exceptional project management, prioritization, and planning skills.
