The Pearl Buck Center is seeking a highly motivated and organized Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our early childhood education program, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive preschool program for children whose parents have cognitive difficulties.

  • The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, participate in professional development opportunities, and contribute to the growth and success of the program.
Responsibilities
  1. Provide developmentally appropriate practices and support all aspects of the classroom, including curriculum plans, child observations, and documentation.
  2. Maintain safety protocols, interact with children showing respect and dignity, and keep accurate records of hours worked.
  3. Participate in family engagement activities, attend home visits and parent-teacher conferences, and provide transportation services as needed.
Qualifications
  1. CDA or Step 7 in the Oregon Registry required.
  2. One year of experience working in Early Childhood Education with young children.
  3. Prior experience working with adults with developmental disabilities/cognitive difficulties preferred.
  4. Valid State of Oregon Driver's License and current vehicle insurance required.
  5. Registered Central Background Check, First Aid and CPR card, Food Handler's Card, and Annual Mandatory Reporter/Child Abuse and Neglect training required.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and holidays.
