Role Summary

  • Engages in engineering responsibilities related to the planning and design of mechanical components tailored for production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interprets and analyzes blueprints, technical schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Collaborates with drafters to develop the structural design of products utilizing drafting tools or computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Conducts research, designs, evaluates, installs, operates, and maintains mechanical products, systems, and processes to fulfill specified requirements.
  • Consults with engineers and other team members to establish operational procedures, troubleshoot system issues, or provide technical insights.
  • Suggests design alterations to mitigate equipment or system failures.
  • Performs research to test or analyze the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of mechanical systems and components.
  • Examines equipment malfunctions to diagnose operational issues and advises maintenance teams accordingly.
  • Creates and tests models of alternative designs and processing methods to evaluate feasibility, operational impacts, potential new applications, and necessary modifications.
  • Oversees all facets of production, including the selection of manufacturing techniques, fabrication, and product design operations.
  • Specifies system components or directs modifications to ensure compliance with engineering design and performance standards.
  • Analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to assess feasibility, costs, or maintenance needs of designs or applications.
  • Drafts performance specifications for product development or engineering initiatives.
  • This position is not remote. Office location is specified.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a professional mechanical engineering role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Solidworks and PDM is essential.
