Job Description

Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support an IT Service Management effort for a leading government agency. The successful candidate will work on high-visibility aspects of a given program, performing functional duties independently and overseeing the efforts of less senior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure in a DoD environment
  • Install and configure network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams and configuration files
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve network-related issues
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in network engineering

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on DoD environments
  • DoD Secret clearance
  • IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CEH)
  • Computing Environment (CE) certification or certificate for network support/defense
  • Experience with common routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), IPv6, VPN, and other network technologies
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
