Job Overview

BlueOval SK LLC is seeking a highly skilled IT Cyber Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for protecting our information assets from cyber-attacks and maintaining sensitive and confidential information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and solve potential and actual security problems to safeguard our information system assets.
  • Protect our system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
  • Recognize problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations.
  • Implement security improvements by assessing the current situation, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
  • Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting period audits.
  • Upgrade our system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
  • Keep users informed by preparing performance reports and community system status.
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related field.
  • 3+ years of direct hands-on experience with incident management and response.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and penetration testing methodologies.
  • Advanced certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP, or CASP, and/or SIEM-specific training and certification.
  • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth, and common security elements.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data, and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions.
  • Proficiency with any of the following: Anti-Virus, HIPS, ID/PS, Full Packet Capture, Host-Based Forensics, Network Forensics, and RSA Security.
  • In-depth knowledge of architecture, engineering, and operations of at least one enterprise SIEM platform.
  • Experience developing and deploying signatures.
  • Understanding of mobile technology and OS, VMware technology, and Unix and basic Unix commands.
  • Experience in IT security solution operation.
  • Experience in IT network operation.
  • Experience in operating endpoint security solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or cybersecurity-related field.
  • Master's degree in cybersecurity or related field is a plus.
  • Holds certifications such as CISSP, CISA, ISO 27001.
  • Up-to-date on current cybersecurity trends, threat landscape, and security solutions.
