Key Responsibilities:
Your essential duties will include:
- Evaluating submissions such as applications, policy language, inspection reports, loss history, and financial statements while conducting thorough research to assess the risk level for each account.
- Underwriting business in accordance with the established business strategy and your individual authority.
- Determining appropriate risk premiums by analyzing the inherent costs associated with the sector, program structure, and administrative expenses to ensure profitability.
- Proactively advising and assisting clients on insurance and risk management issues to ensure their needs are met and satisfaction is achieved.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships to identify opportunities for cross-selling additional products and ensuring client retention.
- Overseeing the timely execution of new and renewed accounts in line with quality standards.
- Reviewing loss control reports and managing policy endorsement requests to implement necessary policy adjustments.
- Supporting the business planning and forecasting processes; monitoring financial exposure within defined limits; and ensuring premium income aligns with established thresholds.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Moderate to extensive experience in the relevant sector, demonstrating functional knowledge and skills indicative of a fully competent practitioner.
- Strong industry knowledge and commercial acumen.
- Analytical, negotiation, and sales/marketing skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities with a strong customer service orientation.
- Interpersonal skills to foster and maintain robust relationships with clients and brokers.
