Senior Underwriter

AXA XL Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter - Environmental Risk Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for the profitable production and underwriting of contractor's pollution and professional liability coverage for contractors and environmental consultants.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and underwrite profitable books of contractors' pollution and professional renewal and new business per AXA XL guidelines.
- Cultivate key broker relationships and advocate for cross-selling other AXA XL product lines.
- Review submissions per authorized guidelines, price, quote, and bind business.
- Support unit's service standards in delivery of product and participate in volunteer or special projects as needed.
- Some travel required.
- Experience in the insurance industry, with moderate to extensive underwriting experience.
- Solution-oriented, marketing-focused, and collaborative mindset.
- Outstanding time management skills and ability to work in an environment with complex transactions under strict deadlines.
- Ability to handle a large volume of accounts with flexibility to take on overflow business from other teammates when needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with outstanding negotiation skills.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
- Travel estimated at 10-15%.
