We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Tele Float Pool team at Wellington Regional Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in this role, you will provide safe, competent, and compassionate care to patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
Responsibilities- Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Recognize the signs and symptoms of stroke and call a stroke alert overhead.
- Assist the ICU nurse with telemedicine consults and physician examinations/evaluations.
- Perform and document the NIHSS and bedside swallow, and assist with preparation of patients for Endovascular treatment as indicated.
- Maintain currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 8-hour online training.
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
- Prefer one year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting.
- BLS (current upon hire).
- ACLS and/or required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within three months of employment) in the required specialty.
- Current Florida nursing license.
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
