Clinical Nurse Coordinator Cardiac PCU Specialist

About the RoleAs a Clinical Nurse Coordinator Cardiac PCU, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift. You will work collaboratively with other members of the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. Your expertise and commitment to excellence will serve as a resource for staff, and you will model a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree.
- Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), or Registered Nurse.
HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383-bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL. We are a state-designated Level II trauma center and have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement, and inpatient rehabilitation.
