We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate WIC Certifier to join our team at Franciscan Medical Group, part of CommonSpirit Health. As a WIC Certifier, you will play a vital role in providing nutritional assessments, certifying clients for the WIC program, and prescribing food packages in accordance with federal and state program policies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct nutritional assessments to determine client eligibility for the WIC program
- Prescribe individually tailored food packages for clients
- Provide basic health education on nutrition, lactation, and community resources
- Schedule client appointments and provide telephone communication
- Document services and maintain accurate records
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of experience, or
- Recognized Paraprofessional CPA with training in WIC certification, nutrition principles, and education
- Current Washington State certification as a Medical Assistant-Registered within 90 days of hire
