As a WIC Certifier, you will play a vital role in providing nutritional assessments, certifying clients for the WIC program, and prescribing food packages in accordance with federal and state program policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct nutritional assessments to determine client eligibility for the WIC program
  • Prescribe individually tailored food packages for clients
  • Provide basic health education on nutrition, lactation, and community resources
  • Schedule client appointments and provide telephone communication
  • Document services and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of experience, or
  • Recognized Paraprofessional CPA with training in WIC certification, nutrition principles, and education
  • Current Washington State certification as a Medical Assistant-Registered within 90 days of hire
