Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our clinical operations team at UnitedHealthcare. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and contributing to the development of our ambulatory healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of patient care plans and provide counseling and education to patients and their families
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies, and prescribe medications and treatments as needed
  • Refer patients for consultation with specialists, such as dermatology, neurology, and surgery
  • Document patient progress and communicate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in Louisiana
  • Valid DEA license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • 1+ years of clinical experience in geriatric, adult, or family practice setting
