MV Transportation is seeking a seasoned Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and direction to our operating locations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of annual business plans and controlling the daily operation of our transportation contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Relations: Effectively manage customer relationships through direct contact and outreach programs.
- Staff Management: Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Communication: Frequently communicate with location staff and support team members to ensure seamless collaboration and information sharing.
- Fleet Management: Oversee vehicle maintenance plans and ensure fleet availability to meet service requirements.
- Safety and Training: Develop and implement safety and training programs to ensure compliance with company, contract, and regulatory requirements.
- Client Management: Maintain regular contact with clients to meet or exceed their expectations.
- Operational Metrics: Conduct regular reviews of key operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Financial Management: Ensure that all location financial metrics are managed continuously, and exceptions are reported and addressed.
- Policies and Procedures: Implement, promote, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Contract Renewals: Provide insight and information to support location contract renewals.
- Annual Budget: Create and present location annual budgets.
- Education: College degree or equivalent business management experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive experience in operations management and 7 years of management or supervisory experience in a transit environment.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and high degree of multi-tasking skills.
