Northwestern University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to serve as the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance Outreach and Education Coordinator. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing training programs for the entire university community, including faculty, staff, and students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Deliver Training Programs
- Design and deliver comprehensive educational programming to address topics such as sexual misconduct, discrimination, and harassment.
- Collaborate with campus partners to develop and deliver culturally responsive educational programming and outreach for students on sexual misconduct.
- Develop and deliver programming to increase awareness of university policies and processes, options for reporting, and resources for individuals affected by sexual misconduct, harassment, and discrimination.
- Develop and Distribute Outreach Materials
- Develop, distribute, and publicize materials to increase awareness of sexual misconduct, harassment, and discrimination, and of university resources, reporting, and complaint resolution processes.
- Design and develop multimedia content to communicate the educational mission of the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance to the university community.
- Strategic Planning and Program Evaluation
- Develop and implement a strategic education and outreach plan for sexual misconduct, harassment, and discrimination prevention.
- Conduct benchmarking of other universities' training programs and assess the effectiveness of Northwestern's existing training programs.
- Administer evaluations of programming and maintain complete records of all prevention, education, and outreach efforts.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with campus offices and partners to develop and deliver training programs and outreach materials.
- Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students to increase awareness of university policies and processes.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, social justice, or human resources.
- Experience
- 2 years of experience in program administration or a related field.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion.
- 3 or more years of experience developing and delivering high-quality trainings and materials.
- Experience training various constituencies on sexual violence prevention, sexual harassment, discrimination, workplace conduct, LGBTQ issues, and/or other related topics.
- Effective project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to act independently and exercise sound judgment.
The target hiring range for this position is between $60,000-$65,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
