Job Summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a skilled CDL Rear Load Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a rear load truck to collect and transport waste and recyclables to disposal sites.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a rear load truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by collecting and hauling waste and recyclables to disposal sites.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of routes and driver logs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record.
  • DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain prior to hire.
  • Ability to read and understand a map.
  • Excellent physical stamina to perform prolonged physical exertions, including sitting, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing, and lifting.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in various weather conditions, including cold, rain, snow, and heat. You will also be exposed to residential and commercial waste, as well as high traffic conditions and tight driving areas.
