Amentum is looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our diverse team, dedicated to the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer systems and their components, while providing technical support and training to users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates the configuration, upkeep, troubleshooting, repair, and assessment of data processing equipment.
- Engages in basic setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, analysis, and repair of Desktop and Server systems, Disaster Recovery Systems, switches, networks, and video systems.
- Handles help desk inquiries and system administration tasks.
- Organizes work center activities, equipment, and processes according to performance needs and mission objectives.
- Analyzes problem reports, aids in root cause analysis, and implements necessary configuration and process modifications.
- Offers technical support during system upgrades and configuration adjustments.
- Assists in the implementation of software and firmware/hardware updates, leading complex troubleshooting initiatives.
- Maintains awareness of operational procedures and supporting documentation, guiding their development.
- Ensures technical support is accessible for system administrators and maintainers during administration and maintenance tasks.
- Utilizes IT service management systems and ensures compliance with Information Assurance requirements.
- Performs Client System Administrator (CSA) duties for specific mission systems requiring specialized assistance.
- Maintains cross-platform interconnectivity for network services, authentication services, email services, and web services.
- Ensures adherence to Information Assurance standards.
- Implements training and mentoring programs.
- Undertakes additional related duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must hold a Top-Secret Clearance with the capability to obtain and sustain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance. US Citizenship is necessary for TS clearance eligibility.
- Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent academic, military, or technical training, accompanied by 5 years of relevant experience.
- Must possess a DoD IAT Level II (or higher) certification.
- Trained in information assurance to DoD M IAT Level II or higher.
- Demonstrated system administration skills, knowledge, and technical proficiency in managing workstations, information systems, and networks, including both hardware and software.
- Hands-on experience with Windows 11 and Windows Server 2019.
- Self-motivated with the ability to establish and meet project timelines.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Professional suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong communication skills for writing recommendations, reports, purchase justifications, memos, and other documentation.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license.
