We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a mobile radiologic technologist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients in their homes or at facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mobile diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and EKGs, in a variety of settings and locations.
- Travel to patient locations, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and correctional institutions, to perform imaging procedures.
- Collect and verify patient information and order documentation prior to procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
- Operate portable radiologic equipment and determine exposure factors based on patient needs.
- Demonstrate safe work practices, including radiation safety and ALARA principles, infection control, and safe operation of equipment.
- Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians and transmit images and documentation in a timely manner.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving as needed.
- Take good care of company vehicles and ensure they are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Meet state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R).
- Have a valid state-issued driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds and walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment.
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
