Room & Board Cleaning Associate Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Cleaning Associate to join our team at Room & Board's 4-story, 36,000 sq. ft. showroom in Washington, D.C.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to maintain high standards in all aspects of work. They will also be self-directed, able to collaborate with the team, and provide exceptional customer service.

About the Role:
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized showroom, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and operating industrial janitorial machinery.
  • Ensure organization and inventory levels of cleaning supplies are maintained.
  • Gather and empty trash and recycling/composting bins.
  • Empty dishwashers.
Responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure exceptional showroom presentation.
  • Welcome and engage customers, providing an exceptional experience.
Requirements:
  • Prior cleaning experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Light maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with diverse teams.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds and walk/move continuously during an eight-hour shift.
