Nursing Unit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nursing Unit Manager - RN to join our team at Canyon Transitional Rehab Center in Albuquerque, NM. As a key member of our nursing center management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective healthcare services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage and provide safe nursing care.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies to achieve patient goals and minimize rehospitalizations.
- Mentor and educate nurses, working with physicians and other medical professionals, and serve as a resource to all staff within the nursing unit.
- Oversee medication management to ensure adequate supplies and adherence to Genesis policy.
- Provide direct patient care to maintain skills and expertise.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing, three (3) years of nursing experience.
- Nursing Diploma, three (3) years of nursing experience.
- BSN, two (2) years nursing experience.
- At least one year of nurse leadership experience is required.
- Must possess current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the nursing center state.
- Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.
- Competitive hourly rate: $42 - $45 per hour.
