Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler to join our team at Webster Engineering. As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for installing electrical wiring and assembling components in control cabinets and panel boards according to blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical wiring and assemble components in control cabinets and panel boards
  • Locate, drill, and tap holes for mounting control units using hand tools and small power tools
  • Lift and position breakers, relays, contactors, bus bars, transformers, insulators, regulator cabinets, condenser units, motor and generator sets, meters, plugging devices, and fuse blocks to mounting holes and mount them to cabinets
  • Cut, strip, bend, and form wire cable, conduit, and tubing used to connect control instruments
  • Mount components and wires various panels working from blueprints and wiring diagrams
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints, and technical terms
  • Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
  • Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process
  • Follow company procedures and directives
  • Test finished products for defects
  • Maintain the tools used to create products
  • Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace
Working Conditions

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move upwards of 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and a plant which is not temperature controlled.
