About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Amergis. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will work closely with our Speech-Language Pathologists to provide speech and language services to students in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in providing speech and language services to students
  • Conduct screenings and assessments under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Provide instruction in the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices
  • Assist with clerical duties, such as preparing materials and scheduling activities
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of student progress
Requirements
  • Graduate of a SLPA program with an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
  • Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract
  • Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice
  • One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred
