QA Manager

The QA Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and workplace safety in our facilities. This includes maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal health codes, as well as ensuring sanitation standards are met for the food safety of all employees and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently to produce positive results.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct unit trainings on food safety for employees and managers
- Engage employees and managers in utilizing proper tools and procedures for food safety
- Monitor employee health and hygiene
- Provide pre-meal trainings on food safety points of the day
- Ensure logs are in place and updated on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Monitor monthly BOH cleaning schedules
- Assist in providing corrective action plans and solutions for HSS, DOH, and NSF inspections
- Conduct monthly food sanitation meetings
- Assist in following up on complaints regarding foodborne illness and food-related injuries
- Follow up on DOH permit renewals for each unit
- Follow up on all DOH violations
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- 5 to 10 years of kitchen experience or 3 to 5 years of field experience as an inspector
- Ability to work independently producing positive results
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to teach and train various skills and subjects to individuals and small groups
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to problem solve and give pragmatic solutions
- Knowledge of local and state Health Code
- Understand HACCP
- ServSafe certified and possess a valid DOH Food Protection card
