Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join our team at the University of California-Davis. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care for children, adolescents, and young adults with solid tumors, focusing on clinical and translational research on developmental therapeutics, clinical trials, and pediatric adolescent and young adult cancers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric hematology/oncology, with a proven track record of excellence in clinical care, teaching, and translational research. They will be expected to participate in the institution's research/scholarly mission, either as a collaborator or as an intellectual leader of clinically-oriented research projects.

The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology is a dynamic growing team comprised of eight specialty physicians and two nurse practitioners. The division provides care to 100-120 new pediatric oncology patients per year and participates in the Children's Oncology Group (COG), a federally funded cooperative dedicated to the treatment of childhood cancers.

The successful candidate will have multiple opportunities for collaboration within the UC Davis Health System, including the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, UC Davis School of Public Health, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine (Veterinary Cancer Center), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, Center for Biophotonics Science and Technology, and the Institute for Regenerative Cures.
