Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Education and Training for the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in program development, management, and supervision. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the education and training programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Coordinate and manage education and training programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Supervise and manage a team of staff responsible for delivering education and training services
• Develop and implement performance improvement systems to ensure high-quality services
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services
• Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
• Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and vendors to ensure access to resources and services
• Analyze data and develop conclusions, recommendations, or plans of action to improve services
• Prepare and administer budgets to ensure effective use of resources
• Develop and implement corrective actions in response to findings from state reviews and other monitoring activities
• Participate in administrative review activities and committees to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., special education, psychology, social work)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in program development, management, and supervision
• Strong background in education and training for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to analyze data and develop conclusions, recommendations, or plans of action
• Ability to prepare and administer budgets
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Working Conditions:
• This is a full-time position that requires regular attendance and may involve working extended shifts and/or overtime as needed
• The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly and effectively
• The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• The successful candidate will be required to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
