Job Title: Telemetry/Cardiac Monitoring Technician

Shift: Varied (or ; shifts may fluctuate as needed)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty, with at least one previous 13-week travel assignment

Licenses and Certifications:

  • BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret ECG patterns for abnormal rhythms and interval measurements, reporting any changes to nursing staff and physicians.
  • Respond to emergency situations calmly and confidently.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare staff.
  • Ensure that all patient care meets the highest standards.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively with other healthcare team members.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to address issues as they arise.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to patient care.
  • Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients.

This 13-week contract assignment requires flexible team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment. On-call, weekends, and holidays may be required, per staff rotation. Travelers will be the first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within a 20-mile radius of the permanent assigned location. Scrubs are required and not provided by the facility. Please note, no holiday time-off requests will be approved for travelers. Orientation is the first week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, which includes EPIC training.
