Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance work practices
  • Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel MEP systems
  • Train and mentor other engineers as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver's License and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
  • Supervisory experience
