We are seeking a Flight Hardware Specialist to join our team of brilliant engineers at SpaceX. As a Flight Hardware Specialist, you will own the design, qualification, test design, production success, integration design, and in-flight success of flight hardware.

Flight Hardware Specialist

This role involves ensuring the successful operation of flight hardware. As a Flight Hardware Specialist, you will own the design, qualification, test design, production success, integration design, and in-flight success of flight hardware.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring successful operation of flight hardware
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive system-level optimization
  • Rapidly iterating on designs and analysis to inform high-level systems trades and steer overall product direction
  • Driving holistic DFM to create elegant designs with a focus on piece part and process count reductions, error-proofing at every step of fabrication and integration, and consistent performance and production metrics
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM discipline
  • Experience with CAD or FEA software packages
  • 1+ years of experience with mechanical and/or electromechanical design and analysis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Solid understanding and application of GD&T
Compensation and Benefits:

Our estimated annual salary for this position is $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks.
