The Role:

  • As the Canada Tax Manager, you will be the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and operating as a business partner.
  • You will work with advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax disclosures, compliance filings, and tax authority communications.
  • You will lead tax authority communications, tax controversy, and audits, as well as identify and claim incentives.
  • You will support the US Provision team in US GAAP, cash tax forecasting, and payments, quarterly provision, return to provision, and uncertain tax positions.
  • You will work with the transfer pricing team and external advisors to ensure transfer pricing policies are implemented and monitored.
  • You will lead tax matters related to business transformation and supply chain projects, including M&A integration activities.
  • You will lead global Permanent Establishment monitoring and approval activities, working with other country/region leaders.
  • You will lead global MDR tracking activities, using third-party tools to log reportable events and work with advisors and country/region tax leads to ensure reporting obligations are met.
  • You will stay up-to-date with legislation developments and communicate with the team and support other projects relevant to the region, including BEPS and Hybrid-mismatch.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or tax from an accredited institution.
  • Seven years of Canada corporate tax experience with public accounting experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting and tax, such as CA, CPA, or LLM.
  • International corporate income tax knowledge in countries in scope, including understanding of international technical topics.
  • Strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and desire to collaborate across the function and organization.
  • Proven ability to use analytics and influencing skills to drive results.
  • Exhibited sense of urgency to drive effective change and manage performance.
  • OneSource Tax Provision experience.

Work Arrangements:

  • Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on-site, or hybrid).
