Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Stella-Jones is a leading manufacturer of industrial pressure-treated wood products in North America. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Winslow, IN.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining property, plant, and equipment in a productive, efficient, and safe manner. This includes inspecting, servicing, and repairing machinery, as well as performing preventative maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and service machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Repair or perform maintenance on mobile equipment, including fueling, oil changes, and minor repair work
  • Participate in the company's safety program and contribute to a safe working environment
  • Document and report maintenance work performed and advise on future requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including site cleanup
Requirements:
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school preferred
  • Two years related work experience
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, pumps, valves, and welding
  • Excellent trouble-shooting skills and basic mechanical knowledge in the wood industry
  • Ability to read schematics and electrical drawings
  • Strong communication skills
