Clinical Operations Coordinator

**Job Summary:**

The Arora Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to coordinate complex clinical operations at a facility that houses individuals detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct care to patients, administer medications, and support other providers in clinic.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provides direct care to patients within the scope of practice and performs functions in accordance with current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing, and/or competencies.
* Administers medications as ordered, using various routes such as oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, topical, ophthalmic, and enteral/parenteral.
* Performs prescreening and intake screening of patients, using established tools to gather subjective and objective data, and refers abnormal findings or responses to registered nurses, medical providers, dental providers, or behavioral health providers as appropriate.
* Performs various treatments such as wound care, vital sign checks, electrocardiograms, and other procedures as ordered by medical providers, dental providers, behavioral health providers, or registered nurses.
* Collects laboratory specimens and performs point-of-care testing or prepares specimens for laboratory processing, taking appropriate action on lab results received.
* Responds to medical emergencies and renders emergency care to stabilize patients and prevent deterioration, and transfers patients to appropriate levels of care.
* Assists other healthcare professionals through the gathering of subjective and objective data, provision of aspects of care, educating patients, and other tasks.

**Requirements:**

* Graduate from a Vocational/Practical Nurse program approved by a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. Territory.
* Must have a minimum of one year of experience in a hospital, medical office, or outpatient clinical setting.
* Experience in a detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting is preferred.
* Maintains current, full, and unrestricted LVN/LPN license by the state in which the duty station is located, or a compact state that allows practice in the state in which the duty station is located.
* Maintains BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
* Certified Correctional Health Professional or Certified Corrections Nurse credential is preferred.
