Job Summary

We are seeking a Medication Aide Level 1 to join our team at the Women's Eastern Reception and Diagnostic Correctional Center in Vandalia, Missouri.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as prescribed under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing or nursing designee.
  • Document medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current active Level 1 Medical Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH).
  • Insulin certification required.
  • Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification.
  • Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
