Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Defense Strategy and Plans Expert, Senior to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic planning and defense expertise to support the development and implementation of complex defense strategies and plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and recommend innovative solutions to complex defense problems
- Provide on-site strategy and plans support to senior-level executives and decision-makers
- Conduct analysis and develop client-ready deliverables on key strategic topics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop coordinated positions and products
- Provide subject matter expertise and recommended command positions for key national security topics
- Analyze and recommend changes to or create command strategy, plans, and guidance documents
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience at a DoD Service-level headquarters, Component, CCMD, Joint Staff, or Interagency level
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, planning, or policy
- Experience in national defense planning systems, processes, and documents
- Experience in leading groups using the Joint Planning Process
- Experience with national security challenges in the Indo-Pacific theater
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience with Indo-Pacific Studies or the regional plans problem set
- Experience with writing and coordinating executive-level products for senior-level executives
- Experience with working individually and as part of a team to develop collaborative solutions to shared problems
- Experience with facilitating working groups and meetings with diverse organizations
- Knowledge of project management processes, ensuring on-time delivery of complex deliverables
- Ability to work independently and produce client-ready written products with little or no direction
- Master's degree in International Relations, Foreign Policy, Security Studies, Political Science, or Indo-Pacific Affairs
- Graduate of the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), School of Advanced Warfighting (SAW), School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS), Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS), Basic Strategic Art Program (BSAP), or Advanced Strategic Art Program (ASAP)
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
