Job Overview

Overland Corporation is in search of committed and diligent individuals to fill the role of Asphalt Paving Technician. Our organization is dedicated to delivering top-notch road construction solutions while ensuring a secure and productive work atmosphere. In this position, you will engage in a variety of activities related to asphalt paving, including patching and preparation, as well as operating machinery and implementing appropriate traffic control measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute manual labor tasks such as shoveling, brooming, and raking.
  • Operate machinery like skid steers and highway brooms as required.
  • Support general operations associated with asphalt paving, patching, and preparation crews.
  • Utilize small tools and operate minor power tools.
  • Communicate with equipment operators to assist in the alignment and movement of materials.
  • Help in the installation, relocation, and removal of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
  • Perform cleanup of equipment as necessary.
  • Carry out additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Prior experience with equipment operation is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Openness to learning and adapting to new responsibilities.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Strong driving record.
