Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Greet patrons warmly, ensuring outstanding customer service and processing payments upon their departure.
  • Record food and beverage orders accurately in the POS system.
  • Handle payments and execute transactions following established protocols; provide correct change; reconcile cash drawer at the end of the shift; complete all necessary opening and closing documentation; and log voids on the appropriate balance sheet.
  • Maintain effective communication with all guests.
  • Report any issues to management promptly.
  • Assist with bussing tables as needed to facilitate efficient seating for waiting guests.
  • Address guest complaints and special requests when required.
Qualifications for Cashier Position:
  • Minimum of one year experience in customer service and cash handling.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift or carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Proficient in handling cash, coins, credit cards, and operating phones.
  • Capability to use a credit card processing machine.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Capacity to remain in a fixed location at the entrance or exit for extended periods while navigating the venue safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests, colleagues, and third parties, reflecting positively on the venue and brand.
  • Reading and writing skills for reviewing guest checks and POS reports.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze POS reports.
  • Basic math skills for cash transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of cash bank.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
