Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with physicians and other departments to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless communication.
- Manage resources effectively and make fiscally responsible decisions to support the department's operations.
- Support the mission and vision of the facility, division, and company by promoting a culture of excellence and quality care.
- Ensure quality care through the initiation and evaluation of patient care, utilizing performance improvement processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and safety in assigned areas or responsibility.
- Assist the Director of Oncology in managing operations and ensuring the department's productivity meets standards.
- Ensure the department has the necessary equipment and supplies for daily operations and maintain accurate records.
- Lead hiring new employees, create annual budgets, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Regularly review departmental functions, equipment, and processes to ensure they are functioning appropriately and involve staff in problem-solving and implementing new practices.
- Monitor departmental staff and hospital-required education to ensure compliance and maintain accurate records.
- Review and maintain department statistics to inform data-driven decision-making.
- Prior experience as a Radiation Oncology manager and 3-5 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist or one year of oncology nursing experience and 2 years of general medical-surgical nursing required.
- Must be able to operate the simulator, Department Treatment Information System, and treatment machines.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification and valid Virginia Nursing License required.
- PREFERRED: Oncology Certification Nurse (OCN)
