As a Radiology Technologist, you'll be responsible for:
- Obtaining quality radiographs of patients within the department and with portable equipment in an acceptable timeframe
- Complying with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment
- Operating radiographic equipment safely and competently
- Demonstrating the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (i.e., Meditech and PACS)
- Ensuring proper charges are entered and referring physicians' orders are verified
- Rending patient care in a professional and courteous manner
- Preparing examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures
- Assisting the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and all types of care to the patient
- Reviewing each exam for technical accuracy and completing the verification process in PACS
Requirements include:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
- Vocational School Graduate
