About the Role

Cayuga Centers is seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of Assistant Director of Case Management. This role will play a crucial part in the supervision of case managers working within the Unaccompanied Children Program.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in case management, with experience in supervising and managing daily operations. They will be responsible for auditing the quality of case management procedures, ensuring consistent and high-quality services for all youth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee initial intake requirements, assessments, individual service plans, family reunification, and discharge for unaccompanied children.
  • Train, supervise, and manage daily operations for up to 12 case managers at a given time.
  • Responsible for case management services for unaccompanied children, carrying a small caseload as assigned.
  • Submit daily reports to the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and ensure all services provided to each minor are properly documented in each case file and UC Portal.
  • Respond to client emergencies within or outside work hours.
  • Provide weekly supervision to each case manager.
  • Participate in weekly staffing meetings with clinicians, case managers, case coordinators, and other ORR staff.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant behavioral or social sciences field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, education, or other human services profession required.
  • NYC ACS or private agency child welfare experience required.
  • Familiarity with OCFS, OPWDD, OMH, the ORR Network, and other relevant municipal and state agencies.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook applications.
  • Experience with G-Suite is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work when families are available to meet.
  • Ability to work well with people from many cultures, including recent immigrants, non-English speakers, and LGBTQ children.
  • NYS Driver's License preferred.
  • Ability to travel to other agency locations.
  • Bilingual preferred - English/Spanish, English/Creole, English/French, English/Portuguese.
