Job Summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a qualified Adjunct Nursing Faculty member to teach mental health nursing courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education and experience in teaching mental health nursing topics.

Responsibilities
  • Teach mental health nursing courses to students in a classroom and clinical setting
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the college
  • Evaluate student learning and program outcomes
  • Participate in faculty development activities to improve teaching and learning
Qualifications
  • Active, current, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in this state
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree, Graduate degree in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse and per State Board of Nursing
Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment

The Adjunct Nursing Faculty member will be required to work in a classroom and clinical setting, and may be required to lift, pull, push, kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, or any other related activity to patient care. The position requires regular attendance, and may require evening or weekend hours, and travel to clinical sites and extended classrooms.
