Position Overview

Salary Range: $17-23 per hour

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children? Integrity Learning Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Intern to contribute to our mission of excellence in child development.

The RBT Intern will engage in implementing individualized programs in a one-on-one teaching environment for children facing developmental challenges. This role is crucial in fostering the growth and development of learners, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), through effective behavior intervention strategies.

Educational Opportunity

This internship offers a valuable learning experience for students interested in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as it pertains to children with ASD. Interns will have the chance to obtain their RBT certification during their tenure, which will enhance their career prospects in the field.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Be currently enrolled in a four-year degree program in a relevant field such as Psychology, ABA, Education, Early Childhood, Counseling, Speech, Occupational, or Physical Therapy.
  • Commit to two consecutive semesters of internship.
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for assisting children and their families.
  • Be available for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
  • Exhibit reliability and dependability.
  • Have prior experience working with children.
Key ResponsibilitiesImplementation of ABA Therapy
  • Uphold the values of Integrity Learning Center while exercising sound judgment in daily activities.
  • Provide individualized instruction based on ABA principles for children with ASD.
  • Execute prescribed programs as outlined by the treatment team.
  • Facilitate meaningful play interactions during breaks, adhering to the client’s Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).
  • Identify and engage clients in naturalistic teaching opportunities.
  • Assist in programming tasks as directed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Data Management
  • Maintain accurate and timely data collection.
  • Document behavioral observations and progress notes during therapy sessions.
Behavior Management
  • Implement behavior management strategies as outlined in the client’s behavior intervention plan (BIP).
Commitment to Values

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Stay updated on CPR training and crisis management standards.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Ensure a clean and organized therapy environment.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the BCBA or management.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and families.
QualificationsRBT Certification
  • Must be willing to obtain a valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
Education
  • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma.
Experience
  • Preferred experience working with individuals with ASD or developmental disorders.
  • Dependability and a strong rapport with children are essential.
  • Familiarity with play-based ABA techniques is advantageous.

  • Strong organizational capabilities.
