Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Echoing Hills Village.

Job Summary:

The LPN will provide comprehensive nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities, following established care plans and treatment protocols.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor vital signs to ensure the physical health needs of residents are met.
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, document observations, and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Create a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters the fruit of the spirit, promoting love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
  • Show empathy and understanding to residents and their families.
  • Develop an individualized care plan for each resident based on their specific needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with the care team to address any changes in health status promptly.
  • Utilize a person-centered approach to assist individuals in fulfilling their desires and needs for an independent life.
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers about health-related topics, including medication management, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Respond effectively to medical emergencies and crisis situations, demonstrating calmness, composure, and quick decision-making skills.
Qualifications:
  • Valid LPN license in the state of Ohio.
  • Proficient in providing nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Prior experience in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities is desirable.
  • Display a genuine concern for the well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
  • Treat everyone with respect and dignity, fostering an atmosphere of love and kindness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially in emergency situations.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.
  • Embody the qualities of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in interactions with residents and the team.
