Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Associate to join our team at Clean Team Inc. in the Grand Ledge area. This part-time evening position involves working Monday through Friday from 6pm to 9pm.

As a Cleaning Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients. Your duties will include emptying trash and recycling receptacles, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning and dusting furniture and fixtures, and washing windows and mirrors.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to follow instructions, work independently, and demonstrate a strong attention to detail. You should also be able to lift up to 20 pounds for short periods of time and possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation and proof of car insurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles into appropriate waste bins and ensure receptacles are kept clean and free of smells.
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas and spot clean when necessary.
  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors using the appropriate cleaning supplies.
  • Clean and dust furniture, ledges, light fixtures, and other hard-to-reach places.
  • Wash windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces, ensuring they are free of streaks.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms, ensuring soap and paper towel dispensers are well-stocked and locked if necessary.
  • Take inventory of cleaning supplies and materials, notifying your supervisor when more are needed.
  • Inform the Area Manager of any broken or malfunctioning equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Capable of following instructions and learning new techniques.
  • Strong time management skills to ensure all work is completed by the end of the shift.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of standard cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Self-starter who takes the initiative to determine and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds for short periods of time.
  • Possess a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be 18+ years old, possess a valid driver's license, with reliable transportation and proof of car insurance.
