Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize electromagnetic locating and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) systems to detect and accurately map underground utilities.
  • Assign work, manage crew schedules, maintain project records, monitor work quality, and provide performance feedback as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
  • Monitor project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Train and develop SUE technician skills for advancement.
  • Create and maintain training guidelines, materials, and records.
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to communicate findings and project status.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and applicable OSHA certifications.
  • Proficiency with multiple forms of electromagnetic locating equipment and GPR equipment.
  • 6 years of related work experience, preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Mental and physical capability to perform all essential duties.
  • Average communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to travel frequently and extensively, overnight and/or out of town.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in outdoor environments, often in remote and rugged locations. Exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. Physical demands include standing for extended periods, walking on uneven terrain, and carrying equipment.
