About the Role:

We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our team at FedEx Freight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, handling inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process documentation related to freight movement, including verifying and completing required reports.
  • Administer freight pick-up processes, ensuring accurate information and assistance to customers.
  • Enter freight shipment information into computer systems, accurately status shipments, generate freight bills, and correct discrepancies.
  • Assist customers via phone, email, and/or fax in all inquiries, including tracing shipments, rate quotes, tariff discrepancies, billing and/or invoicing questions, etc.
  • Making freight delivery appointments as required.
  • Review drivers' Hours-of-Service logs to ensure accuracy, as required; report discrepancies to appropriate leadership members.
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Two years of general office experience are preferred.
  • One year of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Previous transportation experience is preferred.
  • Strong phone and interpersonal skills are essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $18.68 per hour. FedEx Freight offers a competitive compensation package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as 401(k) retirement savings plan.
