Job Description:

This Clinical Nurse III: Neuroscience and Epilepsy role involves assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, implementing, and managing the needs of assigned patients throughout their episode of care. You will be responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care provided by the caregiving team, ensuring that competent, compassionate care is uniformly provided to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documenting treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
  • Assessing and evaluating patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Applying sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • Providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administering over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
  • Collaborating with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Directing and guiding ancillary personnel and maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
  • Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry or ICU experience is required.
  • Ability to improve job performance through continuing education.
  • Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.

Salary:$54.83 - $89.23 per hour
