Key Responsibilities
  • Support drawing and 3D model development in a design role
  • Assist the design lead to accomplish overall project objectives
  • Perform tasks with competency and extensive knowledge of standard techniques, procedures, and design criteria
  • Support the discipline lead in maintaining budget, schedule, and adherence to the project scope of work
  • Work with discipline lead and civil structural engineer to check model and drawing deliverables related to structural scope
  • Ensure model and drawing deliverables are compatible with Wood project and client requirements
  • Apply knowledge of civil structural engineering design best practices, fabrication, and construction techniques
  • Apply industry-related standard codes, practices, and procedures
  • Complete understanding of the skills required for all lower design positions
  • Workshare experience preferred
Requirements
  • Drafting and Design Certificate or equal training preferred
  • Established knowledge of applicable codes and regulations
  • AutoCAD and PDMS proficiency required, E3D also preferred
  • 8 - 15 years of progressive experience in offshore Structural Design
  • Complete understanding of proper drawing organization and production
  • Complete knowledge of design and drafting standards and procedures
  • Strong ethical standards
  • High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of daily work
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Highly motivated and demonstrates personal initiative
  • Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable
  • Accountable for results. Adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of projects
  • Team player that works well with supervisors, subordinates, peers, and clients
