Key Responsibilities- Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Ensure that all patients and visitors receive a professional, courteous, and efficient experience throughout their visit.
- Schedule and Register Patients: Accurately collect required data, determine eligibility for services, and counsel patients regarding payment policies.
- Manage the Waiting Room: Maintain a comfortable and clean waiting area, keep patients informed about wait times, and ensure a smooth flow of patients through the facility.
- Manage Financial and Insurance Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date information is maintained in our patient management system.
- Perform Data Entry and Chart Preparation: Accurately enter patient registration records and prepare charts as needed.
- Strong Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide exceptional service to a complex patient population.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate multiple computer software programs.
- Basic Bookkeeping Skills: Ability to manage financial and insurance records, including cash handling and posting charges.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks.
- Experience in a Medical or Dental Setting: Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar role in a healthcare setting.
- Strong Bookkeeping or Accounting Skills: Experience with financial management and record-keeping.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
