Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and administrative tasks
  • Perform and document vital signs, medical history information, and clinical care quality measures
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure proper identification
  • Remain proficient and knowledgeable regarding information technology systems and documentation requirements
  • Order clinical supplies to maintain inventory and facilitate smooth operations
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 5 years of continuous Medical Assistant work experience
  • At least one year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a similar setting
  • Current certification from the Medical Association of Medical Assistants preferred
  • Phlebotomy Certification and BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
Working Conditions

Medical Assistants' schedules may include occasional evenings and/or weekends and may require assignment to other office locations to ensure safe staffing levels and optimal business operation.
