CT Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our team at Atlanta Heart Specialists. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT and CTA scans according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Manage CT schedule workflow and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Produce high-quality images for interpretations and reports.
  • Work effectively with the front office to maximize schedules and patient flow.
  • Communicate with patients and families to prepare them for CT exams and provide instructions.
  • Recognize emergent patient conditions and take appropriate actions.
  • Perform venipuncture and administer contrast materials as needed.
  • Take necessary safety measures to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
  • Monitor equipment performance and arrange for repairs or maintenance as required.
  • Interface with other departments to share patient information and coordinate care.
  • Order supplies for the CT department and assist with ACR reaccreditation.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and registered with the ARRT.
  • One year minimum experience preferred.
  • Advanced certification in CT preferred.
  • BLS Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
