Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Macon, Georgia.
Job SummaryUnder the supervision of a radiologist, the CT Technologist will be responsible for acquiring, processing, and submitting CT images for interpretation. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Position patients and formulate techniques to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomy of interest based on accepted radiographic principles.
- Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm their understanding.
- Review diagnostic imaging requests for appropriateness and communicate with radiologists for final approval.
- Enter patient and study information into the radiology information system and document billing codes of procedures performed.
- Assist and communicate with radiologists, working independently outside the department with providers.
- High School or GED Diploma Graduate.
- Graduate of AMA, JRC, or Regionally Accredited approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT Registered or Registry eligible through the ARRT.
- ARRT CT registry required in accordance with Work Instruction EMP 8.
