Nurse Care Specialist

In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and work closely with an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals to deliver high-quality healthcare services.
Job OverviewThis is a full-time position that requires rotating shifts, including evenings and nights. The successful candidate will be required to work every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Salary and Benefits- The minimum starting pay rate for this position is $29.50/hour for nurses with a BSN degree.
- Nurses without a BSN degree can earn a minimum starting pay rate of $28.00/hour.
- A shift differential of $2.00/hour applies to evening and night shifts.
TITLE and salary will be determined based on education and nursing experience.
Sign-On Bonus and Loan Repayment ProgramExperienced nurses are eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus, provided they make a two-year work commitment.
The UPMC Monthly Loan Repayment program offers a $15,000 student loan repayment bonus, paid out over three years, to eligible graduate nurses.
Job Responsibilities- Provide Direct Care: Administer medications, perform procedures safely and accurately, and document patient information.
- Assess and Reassess: Evaluate patient needs, reassess patients regularly, and maintain up-to-date care plans.
- Plan Care: Develop care plans with patients and families, prioritize needs, and coordinate with community agencies and other professionals.
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state where the facility is located or multistate licensure issued by a participating NLC state.
