Position Summary

We are currently looking for a Diet Technician to support our Nutrition Team within a Senior Living Community.

Work Schedule: 16 Hours Per Week with a Flexible Schedule

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Dietitian with the collection of patient data, nutrition assessments, and tailored menu planning.
  • Support patients in making menu selections.
  • Adhere to all guidelines as specified in the Company Diet Manual and Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards set by federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Train and mentor patient services staff and interns as needed.
  • Engage in patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or a related field.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in long-term care.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records, diet office systems, and nutrient analysis software.
